Tech intro
I'll giving a brief intro of what i'll be writing about.I think that I will be mainly concentrating on pc hardware, new apps and some of new tech releases.I usually don't like prebuilds but one that i like is the ACER PREDATOR range of laptops, desktops and monitors.
I'm not a gadget geek or a tech pro but I really love tech and almost everything related to it.My present PC setup is not much, but it might be enough for what I do now ,like play light games, watch youtube videos, web browsing and recently blogging.
My present setup is:
CPU:core 2 duo e8400,3.2ghz
ram :2GB ddr3(which i plan to upgrade to 4GB)
HDD:segate 500GB
MOBO:fronteck ddr3 with only 4GB ram support
So as you can see my present setup is quite poor.I don't even have a GPU.I plan to buy one but i have no Idea when i'll be able to do that.In this blog i'll be saying about my tech intersts but i'll be creating new blogs about many intersting stuff later on.
I have recently published my blog on top 5 games for a low end pc like mine, besure to check it out!
let's talk about one of my favorate topics -CPU's.
The first cpus ,which were made by intel were in the mother board itself, later on intel produced cpu's which you inserted into the motherboard 'like the pentium 2 and 3 which looked like a brick and were really ugly to look at,but afterwards intel grew real fast and produced their first microprocessor, which was also removable the pentium 4.Now i'm not going into details but i'l try to give a brief discripstion of what i write.the pentium 4 was massively popular and also supported HT or hyper threading which i'll talk about later.the next range of cpu's that intel introduced were the pentium d.pentium d was intels first dual core cpu.I think it was actually a big deal in those days. Intel then released it's next processor the pentium dual core. Now people tend to get confused between these two,but even though these are kind of the same, the pentium dual core unlike the pentium d have 2 cores in a single die.next is the core 2 duo which was an improved dual core.It had 2 cores, more cache and lower temps, which made it hugely popular.the core 2 quad was released soon which was intels first quad core cpu .it was considered one of the most powerful range of cpu's of that age.
Now lets talk about intels next range of cpu's the core range, imean the corei3,i5,i7 and i9.Well what are they, the biginning of this range is actually from the core 2 duo and quad but the i3,i5,i7 and i9 are way different.firstly the archtecture of these cpu's are different, their processing power increased and a lot of features added.
Firstly the i3-there are dual core and quad core versions of the i3.The dual core versions of the i3 have 2 cores and 4 threads while the quad core versions have 4 cores and 4 threads.
Next arre the i5-they have dual, quad and six core cpu's .the dual's have 2 cores 2 threads and the quad's and six core one's have 4 cores 4 threads and 6 cores and six threads respectivily the new feature introduced to this is the turbo boost feature.which i'll talk about later.
Now the i7 cpu's-there are dual, qual and six core versions with the duals having 2 cores and 4 threads, the quads having 4 cores 8 threads and six core versions have 6 cores and 12 threads! as you can see intel has made significant development in their processors.
Now for the last and latest the i9-having six, ten, twelve, fourteen, sixteen and a whopping eighteen cores with the double amount of threads for each!!
What is hyperthreading? well hyperthreading can be a bit hard to understand so let me explain in a more easy manner.Imagine thet you are eating,if you use only one hand for eating ,in the time your hand takes to reach until your mouth your mouth sits idle,so time is wasted ,now think ,if you ate with two hands then your mouth will sit idle for less time.So like that if you have four or eight hands the speed at which you eat increases and the time your mouth sits idle decreases. But then think can a single mouth handle all the food from four or eight hands at once,no!So you need more mouths.IN this way think of your mouth as a cpu and your hands as the threads, now i hope you understand what is hyperthreading and why a single core dosen't have eight or ten threads.

How does Multi-Core Processing work?
Imagine that you get a maths problem to solve ,for eg:2x4x3x3-what a single person can do is first multiply 2x4 then do 3x3 and then add them together, right? Now imagine that and your friend together solve this problem, now you will multiply 2x4 and your friend will solve 3x3 then any one of you will add both.So in a similar way when a cpu recieves an information if it has more cores it will split the info between different cores for faster smoother and better processing.
Very informative. Go on with full spirit.
